PUPUSAS
Pupusas are best described as a tortilla stuffed with a molido.
Molidos are fillings that are put inside a Pupusa.
Molidos:
Chicharron - Ground seasoned Pork and Cheese
Frijole - Mashed fried beans with Cheese
Calabasa - Mashed Zucchini with Cheese
Jalapeno - Ground Jalapeno with Cheese
Vegano - Mashedand blended Zucchini and Fried Bean
Queso - Cheese
Loroco - Edible central american flower with Cheese

TAMALES
Central and South American Tamales are typically wrapped in a banana leave which adds incredible flavor to the masa filling.

Chicken Tamales - a large dallop of Morazan style masa, with a portion of sauced chicken, potatoes, peas, green beans, garbanzo beans, and an olive

Bean Tamale - a large dallop of Morazan style masa, ground friend beans, potatoes, Jalapeno (for spicy bean tamale)

I started Pupuseria Del Valle in 2017 to celebrate the recipes and traditions passed down by my mother. We take pride in sourcing food as locally and fresh as possible to serve a community that has supported us from day one. We hope you will join us!
